Following on from his talk in December, Zlatko will be focusing on the genus Coryphantha, but some other cacti of interest will be presented as well. He has observed many of them in habitat and he cultivates them too.

The Sierra Mixteca Alta in Oaxaca and selected mammillarias there by Klaus Rebmann

The presentation will not only be the cacti and mammillarias in habitat but also the region of the Sierra Mixteca with its people, history, vegetation, landscapes and problems. The state of Oaxaca is Klaus' favorite region in Mexico and he has visited the Sierra Mixteca eleven times. His aim is to present the diversity of this region, which is mainly inhabited by indigenous people.

Turbinicarpus, Kadenicarpus, Rapicactus & Acharagma by Rob Stevenson

Rob has been growing cacti for around 45 years and his current collection is focused on mainly Mexican cacti. He once held the National Collection of Turbinicarpus, however he is no longer involved with Plant Heritage although he still have the same collection of plants.

Part one of the talk will cover just the genus Turbinicarpus and part two will be the other three genera. The talk will cover the all accepted names species/subspecies and a number of the other 'names' which are commonly found in cultivation. Hybrids will also be mentioned.
